CREATION MYTH
The Creator made the 'Gods' or the Aeon creatures, they were giant shadowy beings without faces or words, with immense hearts and a durability of rock. They fought the torrents of Chaos. The Chaos lived in the sea and hated all that lived on land. The Creator then told the 'Gods' to create the Devic / Deva creatures which were legendary in power and might, chimerical and a terrible force. The Devic were egocentric and had too much hubris for they were created in the most fantastical manner. Finally, the Creator gave the gift of death to the weary Aeon creatures who had weathered long and hard battling against the winds and waters. As his last commandment, he told the 'Gods' to create the Animas who are limited in their magic, bound to the earth as the mortal residents, and diversely humble in their ways. With every strength, they had a weakness and with every weakness, a strength to defend themselves. A balance was formed in the world. When the Chaos of the Sea heard of the Order and Sanctity on the land, they tried to flood the world, sweeping devastating typhoons and storms across the land. During this time, Aeropostle (bird), Totemo (hooved beast), Fenñel (clawed beast), and Epoch (soft-footed beast) played a key role in finding the solution to protecting the land. He suggested the gods protect the land by physically placing themselves around the perimeter of the land. The gods gave them and their descendants the gift of 'transformation.' To be able to live both as an Animas and an Aeon, renaming them as the Cuprean. They gave them responsibility of protecting the Animas and maintaining the peace in the world. When their job was finished, they slowly, one by one began their trek across the land to their resting places, where they would sit and protect Cuprea for the rest of their existence. |
